AIKY: Pathways to Light is an immersive dance performance that invites the audience to highlight the deep connection between mind, breath, and the body. While establishing this connection, using movement as the medium to explore centers in the body is known as chakras. Utilizing sound, color, light, and intention we direct our attention through these centers, guided by concepts of the colors of the spectrum, the elements of nature, and sound in the form of the Solfeggio frequencies. Through this attunement, we establish a sense of transcendence through the body creating a lexicon of movement together. Taking lead from the performers, participants are given the opportunity to take an active role in the experience.
